We have a Baby!
We are happy to say that we are Grandparents. Autumn Jacqueline Bush was born on November 20th to out daughter Brittani and our Son-in-law Jonathan. She was a healthy 8 pounds and 15 ounces and 21 inches long. We all got to spend time down in Rexburg with them for the Thanksgiving holiday and enjoy our sweet little bundle of joy. Being a Grammie is great! I didn't know how great it was going to be until now. I get to enjoy her all I want and still get to sleep at night "the best of two worlds, life couldn't be better".
Our Sweet Little Paigree had Surgery
Paigree had surgery done at Shriners Childrens Hospital on December 9th. She had Pectus Carinatum which is a condition that is caused by an over growth of cartilage on the ribs and breastbone. She under went a 7 1/2 hour surgery on Wednesday and was home by Sunday afternoon. I think she surprised all the nurses and doctors, she is a real trooper. She had to be on oxygen for three days and undergo lots of breathing treatment which are not much fun after having chest surgery. But I would say she looks pretty good for such a major surgery. She is still recovering and will be for quite some time. She will need to wear a shield over her chest to protect her vital organs for six months and will not be able to do any sports, running or physical education for that full six months as well. But the up side is she doesn't have the lump that used to stick out anymore.
Her puppy is sporting her fancy new shield. I think she would prefer if we would just let the puppy wear it for the six months instead of her.
Paigree has a zoo in her bed. What a pretty little girl. We are so proud of her. We love you Paige!

Making Apple Butter...Yummmm
We got apples off our trees this year and made apple butter. Mmmmm....it is so good. Charity, Colby and Nevin got to be my helpers. Colby worked the food mill like a pro and Nevin and Charity cut a bunch of apples. While we were working in the Kitchen Rob took the two little girls Paigree and ReeAnne down to the garden and they cleaned it up. While they were down there and pulling up tomato plants Paigree felt something up her pant leg and realized there was a baby mole up her pants. She proceeded to do quit the dance while Daddy tried to rescue her. I hear it was quit the site and has created a fun memory. It would have been nice to have a picture I am sure would we have all enjoyed that.
Colby's Eagle Scout Project
Colby did his Eagle Scout project in September. He painted the vehicle stop blocks at the DSHS building where Rob works. He painted them yellow and the handicap blocks blue and stenciled "Handicap" on them. It has been a great addition to the parking lot. Thank you to the family (Mom, Dad, Nevin, Paigree), Kinsey (Paigree's friend) Johnny Carnline, Logan and Caden McCombs, for coming to help with the project, it turned out great.

Your Mom and Dad are proud of you and all your great accomplishments. She worked hard and was able to finish in 3 1/2 years. She is now home looking for a job to fill in until she get married sometime in June. More will come in the future on that subject.
